Woods and Heaths Photo, Process and Print Workshop.
Thursday 14th August 2025 – sunrise 5.37am, workshop start time 5.00am – 1pm.

Join me for a Photo, Process and Print workshop where we will cover the photographic process from start to finish – this time with a theme of heather and woods.
The workshop will start with a sunrise at Upper Hollesley Common. We will then move from here across the road to Sutton Heath where we will finish the photography session.
The second half of the day will be spent in my studio at Hollesley reviewing the images and discussing post processing. You will have the opportunity to process your favourite image from the morning session which we will then print on A3 fine art paper so that you will leave the workshop with a print from the session.

Woods and heaths are unlike other landscape environments, they can be challenging because of their unstructured nature, but are also very rewarding environments to shoot in. We will learn how to tackle composition, simplifying the scene and working with the available light.
Process
How to use Lightroom and Photoshop to get the best out of your RAW files. I have two Macs in my studio for your use during the workshop. I will demonstrate my methods of processing and then you will be working in pairs to process your favourite image for print.
How to print your own images. We will discuss printers, printing profiles and paper choices and you will have the opportunity to print your favourite image from the session, leaving with an A3 fine art print.

8 hours of tuition on in the heaths and woodlands and in my studio at Hollesley.
The option to borrow a tripod and filters if required
An A3 fine art print of your favourite image from the session to take home.
