Description
Walberswick Sunrise Workshop.
Sunday 27th November 6.45am – 10 am Sunrise is at 7.33am and low water is at 6am.
Join me for a 3 hour photography workshop in Walberswick. During the session we will cover a variety of locations including the riverfront with its colourful boats and fishing industry, the old pier, the black houses at the edge of the Dunwich River, the salt marsh and the sand dunes and beach.
We will start with sunrise over the old pier where we will have the opportunity to capture the early morning light and some long exposure shots using the old wooden structures in the sea. We will learn how to use filters for sunrise and long exposures. Filter sets are available to borrow for the session.
We will look at the wider landscape as well as at more intimate details and will explore different methods of finding and observing images.
We will practice identifying subjects, finding viewpoints, working with supporting elements and incorporating lines, shapes, patterns and textures. We will also look at light and how that affects an image and the use of colour.
Participants are invited to submit their favourite images for comments and feedback after the workshop.
