Description
Friday Challenge Photo Walk – Exploring Contrasts at Landguard Point
Friday 19th July 9.30am – 11.30am
This walk is all about exploring contrasts in our photography. These can be physical eg. working with light and shadow, or textures or it can be more subjective. This is a fabulous area to explore the contrasts between the natural world and the more industrial container port. It is also an area full of history with several reinforced concrete huts, pillboxes, searchlight shelters and tank traps dotted around the beach. These man made structures are in stark contrast to the wild nature of the area which is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The beach supports a wide variety of flowering plants and the contrast between these and the more industrial landscape is something we will be exploring during the walk.
At the end of the walk you will be encouraged to share up to 5 of the images you took on the walk on my Facebook page – Photographing Suffolk. I will select my favourite from all those entered and the winner will receive an A3 fine art print of their image on Cotton Rag paper.
The idea behind the walk is to encourage you to look closer at the landscape around you and think creatively about what makes an interesting photograph.
Are you up for the challenge?
